In the 6th minute, Marcel da Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Red Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Ramos came free, but Braulio Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Ramos in the 13th minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Braulio Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcel da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute Marcel da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcel da Rocha took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clóvis Reis. Clóvis Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, Red Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Prado came free, but Braulio Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konrad Wasikowski kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Clóvis Reis was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Marcel da Rocha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcel da Rocha really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 30th minute Marcel da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Marcel da Rocha took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Clóvis Reis to make any attempt to save it. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Red Devils's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cornel Chira was slow to take the kick. During this time Leon Sport Club's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Cornel Chira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Braulio Gartxot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jon Loarte to make the kick off. Marcel da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clóvis Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Marcel da Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Clóvis Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Braulio Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Leon Sport Club defense, Marcel da Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clóvis Reis. The Leon Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clóvis Reis should have stopped the shot. Leon Sport Club's Wesley Sønck was substituted for Jon Loarte. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel da Rocha in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clóvis Reis saved Leon Sport Club from getting behind. Braulio Gartxot made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Ingvar Kollberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute Valdo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clóvis Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute of the match, Marcel Ramos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Braulio Gartxot saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Leon Sport Club's Rafinha Silva got a free kick in the 77th minute. Red Devils's Kazimierz Deyna was substituted for Radoslaw Solibieda. Clóvis Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Kléberson Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Braulio Gartxot made a huge save. Braulio Gartxot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valdo Prado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 7-1 in the 85 minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leon Sport Club's goalkeeper Clóvis Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Marcel da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clóvis Reis was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, Marcel da Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clóvis Reis. Leon Sport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel da Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. Red Devils's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
