Valdo Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Olsson having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Arvid Carlsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clóvis Reis was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 8th minute, Raymundo Hasche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Leon Sport Club defense, Arvid Carlsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clóvis Reis. The Leon Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clóvis Reis should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leon Sport Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! In the 18th minute, Jon Loarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Arvid Carlsson put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Clóvis Reis. Giovanni Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jimmy Olsson made a huge save. After having played for 27 minutes, Arvid Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linköpings AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arvid Carlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giovanni Massas short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Jimmy Olsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 37 minutes into the match, Julien Staffelbach notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Leon Sport Club's Clóvis Reis. Clóvis Reis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jimmy Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Loarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Leon Sport Club's Clóvis Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Valdo Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmy Olsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leon Sport Club's goalie prevented a goal. Clóvis Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arvid Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.
Clóvis Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julien Staffelbach went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Leon Sport Club's Wesley Sønck was substituted for Jon Loarte. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leon Sport Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marbjörn Garpsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Linköpings AIK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Marbjörn Garpsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clóvis Reis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arvid Carlsson in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clóvis Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Leon Sport Club's Clóvis Reis got control of the ball when Arvid Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Clóvis Reis managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clóvis Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arvid Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Clóvis Reis came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson. But to his dismay, Arvid Carlsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Linköpings AIK made a substitution. Stefan Blomqvist replaced Marbjörn Garpsson. Wesley Sønck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Wesley Sønck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Leon Sport Club fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Leon Sport Club's Wesley Sønck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 87 minutes, Arvid Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clóvis Reis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Albin Nilsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 93 minute of play. Linköpings AIK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
