The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Giovanni Massa could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Nechifor Baștină however easily saved by the left post. 7 minutes into the match, Marcel Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nechifor Baștină. Academia D3c3bal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Nechifor Baștină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Loarte in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Marcel Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Baștină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Marcel Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leon Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Leon Sport Club's Oswaldo Talavera got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes Leon Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Loureiro. Clóvis Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Dersidan in the 21st minute of the match. Nechifor Baștină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Loarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Giovanni Massa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leon Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Prado in the 31st minute of play forced Academia D3c3bal FC's goalkeeper Nechifor Baștină to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clóvis Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Stoicescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovanni Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Nechifor Baștină made a huge save. Nechifor Baștină made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Valdo Prado sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John Forsberg to make the kick off. Nechifor Baștină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson Loureiro in the 52nd minute of play forced Academia D3c3bal FC's goalkeeper Nechifor Baștină to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Leon Sport Club got a corner. Academia D3c3bal FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valdo Prado ran over to the corner to take the kick. 55 minutes into the match, Leon Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Stoicescu came free, but Clóvis Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nechifor Baștină came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Leon Sport Club's Marcel Ramos. But to his dismay, Marcel Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Academia D3c3bal FC's zone, Marcel Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Baștină came out of the goal and Marcel Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Sport Club's Wesley Sønck was substituted for Jon Loarte. In the 65th minute, Valdo Prado made a precise shot to the right of Nechifor Baștină. Academia D3c3bal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Leon Sport Club's João Augusto Costa was substituted for Giovanni Massa. In the 68th minute, John Forsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Augusto Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nechifor Baștină having to make a save. Wesley Sønck scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Baștină, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ingvar Kollberg charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ingvar Kollberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Ingvar Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nechifor Baștină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Academia D3c3bal FC's Nechifor Baștină played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Prado in the 86th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Wesley Sønck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia D3c3bal FC's Nechifor Baștină was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute of the match Leon Sport Club got a corner. Academia D3c3bal FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valdo Prado ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Valdo Prado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nechifor Baștină quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 95th minute, Kléberson Loureiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leon Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. There was no doubt that Leon Sport Club were the better team. Leon Sport Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
