With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandro Tepedino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Amador Menendo sped through Que se abra o mar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandro Tepedino. With a little luck, Que se abra o mar's Sandro Tepedino got control of the ball when Amador Menendo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amílton Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tato Vega in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tato Vega in the 10th minute of play forced Grêmio Meia Praia's goalkeeper Amílton Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Albertinho Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Amador Menendo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sandro Tepedino. Amílton Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tato Vega in the 19th minute of play. Amílton Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Tato Vega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amílton Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 41st minute Tato Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Que se abra o mar fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Que se abra o mar's Tato Vega looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Grêmio Meia Praia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Que se abra o mar were winning 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tato Vega to strike the kick off in the second half. Amílton Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tato Vega's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Grêmio Meia Praia's Amílton Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Meia Praia from getting a goal against them. Sandro Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Primitivo Dolfos charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Dolfos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Grêmio Meia Praia got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Dolfos. 66 minutes into the game, Bebeto Pimenta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Que se abra o mar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Meia Praia the free kick. After 66 played minutes Que se abra o mar got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Pimenta. Que se abra o mar's Loco Orange was substituted for Tato Vega. A collision led to Que se abra o mar getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bebeto Pimenta hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Dante came free, but Sandro Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Francisco Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Loco Orange dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amílton Dantas, 2-4. Loco Orange's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amílton Dantas firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Grêmio Meia Praia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Que se abra o mar's performance. The match ended with a win for Que se abra o mar.
