Albain Furst was slow to take the kick. During this time Zelg FC's players had a chance to rest. Claude Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Herz, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Zelg FC's Gilles Clerc got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Jonas Herz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Claude Bermudez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilles Clerc hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Claude Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Herz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Red Devils's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roland Nagy in the 25th minute. Fabien Van Daelen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Claude Bermudez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilles Clerc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 39 minutes, Irwin Monney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zelg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irwin Monney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Herz in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claude Bermudez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46thth minute of the game Jonas Herz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Devils's Claude Bermudez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Zelg FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Herz was the one to do the kick off. Jonas Herz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Claude Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Zelg FC's Jonas Herz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claude Bermudez. That made the score 0-5 after 60 minutes of play. Jonas Herzs short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Claude Bermudez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Gilles Clerc could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Claude Bermudez however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilles Clerc got free with Claude Bermudez in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilles Clerc scored 0-6 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claude Bermudez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Téo Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sepp Mainville read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Jonas Herz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claude Bermudez. Red Devils's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Herz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After some careless play in the Red Devils defense, Jonas Herz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claude Bermudez. The Red Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claude Bermudez should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Irwin Monney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zelg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Irwin Monney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claude Bermudez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Gilles Clerc got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
