The Grêmio Meia Praia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Titus Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Titus Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Menendo in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Dante in the 23rd minute of play forced Kentucky Mustangs's goalkeeper Titus Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tracy Brunson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Isaio hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tracy Brunson charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tracy Brunson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kentucky Mustangs's Titus Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Menendo in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kentucky Mustangs's Bombai Bombis got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute, Brian Loomis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amílton Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tracy Brunson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Tony Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kentucky Mustangs's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Francisco Soeiro made a precise shot to the right of Titus Fernandez. Kentucky Mustangs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 68 minutes, Tracy Brunson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kentucky Mustangs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tracy Brunson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Titus Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luiz Gustavo Dante received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Titus Fernandez came out and tried to block the shot, but Luiz Gustavo Dante slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 80th minute. When Jose Cunningham fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kentucky Mustangs's protests and gave Jose Cunningham a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Kentucky Mustangs got a freekick which was hit by Jose Cunningham. Titus Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Soeiro in the 89th minute of the match. Francisco Soeiro took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Titus Fernandez. Titus Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. In the 91st minute, Filipe Eanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brian Loomis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Dantas having to interfere. Grêmio Meia Praia played a much better game than Kentucky Mustangs and deserved their victory. The Kentucky Mustangs players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
