AFK Petržalka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ARAUCARIA FC the free kick. ARAUCARIA FC made a substitution. Arthur Meira replaced Amador Weather. Kent Sjöö kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Sjöö got free with Oséias Fantini in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Oséias Fantini managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when AFK Petržalka's Kent Sjöö fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kent Sjöö blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oséias Fantini having to make a save. ARAUCARIA FC's Oséias Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save ARAUCARIA FC from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Kent Sjöö got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adam Hrdina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilbert Lyvang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Hrdina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukács Madaras in the 28th minute of play. When ARAUCARIA FC's Lukács Madaras in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFK Petržalka's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the match, ARAUCARIA FC's Benigno Su sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Hrdina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute of the match ARAUCARIA FC got a corner. AFK Petržalka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Couto ran over to the corner to take the kick. With his leg Oséias Fantini managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when AFK Petržalka's Kent Sjöö fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oséias Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olcay Tezkan in the 45th minute of play. After the first half ARAUCARIA FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kent Sjöö blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oséias Fantini having to make a save. In the 64th minute Kent Sjöö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséias Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oséias Fantini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oséias Fantini came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Kent Sjöö. But to his dismay, Kent Sjöö quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Kent Sjöö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséias Fantini having to interfere. Kent Sjöö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Sjöö in the 88th minute of play forced ARAUCARIA FC's goalkeeper Oséias Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Benigno Su came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ARAUCARIA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Su couldn't finish the play. The AFK Petržalka players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
