After a defensive mix-up in AFK Petržalka's zone, Beto Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Hrdina came out of the goal and Beto Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adam Hrdina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Minchev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Sasho Arsenov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jurupeba FC and the AFK Petržalka players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Jurupeba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sasho Arsenov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes Jurupeba FC got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Mandrak. Eduard Ješo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto Breckenfeld. 31 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Kent Sjöö nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabrício Falcão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 35 minutes into the game, Kent Sjöö cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fabrício Falcão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorkil Husig in the 40th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Martin Minchev fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Martin Minchev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto Breckenfeld. In the 47th minute, Kent Sjöö hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Kolník to maneuver through the defense. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Thorkil Husig took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Hrdina. Adam Hrdina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Adam Hrdina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorkil Husig in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Silvester Jendrišák hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Silvester Jendrišák hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 77th minute, Kent Sjöö left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Jurupeba FC's Neymar Junior was substituted for Evlogi Dzhumayski. In the 85th minute Martin Minchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Minchev in the 89th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Betinho Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, AFK Petržalka's Milan Škriniar tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Jurupeba FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing AFK Petržalka to win.
