Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) San Ciro Utd's Marco Van Der Taelen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kent Sjöö took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Epifanio Beila. Epifanio Beila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Marco Van Der Taelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 8th minute Marco Van Der Taelen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Hrdina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Beila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Sjöö, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Marco Van Der Taelen might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Hrdina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Van Der Taelen ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Van Der Taelen got free with Adam Hrdina in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 15 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Kolník. Adam Hrdina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Van Der Taelen in the 16th minute of play. Marco Van Der Taelen in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adam Hrdina, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AFK Petržalka! Adam Hrdina had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Bruno Conti's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, San Ciro Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Sjöö came free, but Epifanio Beila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Van Der Taelen succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 34th playminute. 43 minutes into the match, Dávid Strelec notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of San Ciro Utd's Epifanio Beila. Epifanio Beila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute of the match, Ionuț Corbu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adam Hrdina was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Epifanio Beila came out of the goal in the 49th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Kent Sjöö. But to his dismay, Kent Sjöö quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dávid Strelec was the one to do the kick off. If Marco Van Der Taelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Van Der Taelen in the 58th minute of play. Kent Sjöö in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Epifanio Beila, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marco Van Der Taelen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Hrdina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in San Ciro Utd's zone, Kent Sjöö stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Beila came out of the goal and Kent Sjöö tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Jaro Filip got a free kick in the 73rd minute. San Ciro Utd's Marco Van Der Taelen got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dávid Strelec in the 83rd minute of play forced San Ciro Utd's goalkeeper Epifanio Beila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marco Van Der Taelen came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the San Ciro Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Van Der Taelen couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, San Ciro Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Sjöö came free, but Epifanio Beila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
