The crowd rose to their feet as Rupert Bright kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kolkhis Papadakos. That made the score 1-2 in the 14 minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 黄益军 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Krstović in the 23rd minute of play forced 山东泰山队's goalkeeper 黄益军 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matúš Beňo's late challenge caught a 山东泰山队's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matúš Beňo helped the player get up and apologised. Kolkhis Papadakos had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping 雷珂寒's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the AFK Petržalka defense, 雷珂寒 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kolkhis Papadakos. The AFK Petržalka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kolkhis Papadakos should have stopped the shot. After the first half AFK Petržalka were leading 2-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dávid Strelec made a kick off. Dávid Strelec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 黄益军 having to interfere. 黄益军 made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Nikola Krstović sent off a good shot on target. AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately 黄益军 had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Nikola Krstović received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. 黄益军 came out and tried to block the shot, but Nikola Krstović slotted it home off the left post making it 2-6 in the 56th minute. 62 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Dávid Strelec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 黄益军 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. 黄益军 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikola Krstović's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Nikola Krstović blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 黄益军 having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, 山东泰山队's goalkeeper 黄益军 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikola Krstović. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Nikola Krstović took a quick shot and it went in 2-8 without a chance for 黄益军 to make any attempt to save it. The AFK Petržalka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFK Petržalka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
