After 9 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Checa. 15 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zhu Xi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dávid Strelec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zhu Xi was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Nikola Krstović capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nikola Krstović really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Los Galacticos's zone, Alek Justus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhu Xi came out of the goal and Alek Justus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zhu Xi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 26th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Los Galacticos's Pablo Aimar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Hrdina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Los Galacticos's Zhu Xi got control of the ball when Nikola Krstović tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Witomir Lampa threw the ball into play from the sideline. AFK Petržalka's Jaro Filip quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pablo Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Hrdina having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Nikola Krstović dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zhu Xi, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaja Kallas in the 44th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Guillermo Checa got a free kick in the 45th minute. Nikola Krstović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zhu Xi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikola Krstović in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaja Kallas to strike the kick off in the second half. Los Galacticos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xie Yue Chao in the 53rd minute. Zhu Xi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 56th minute of play. Adam Hrdina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilesindo Tarapiella in the 59th minute. If Kaja Kallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaja Kallas in the 64th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikola Krstović took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zhu Xi. Zhu Xi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Zhu Xi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 77th minute of play. Los Galacticos made a substitution. Kong Jing Kun replaced Kaja Kallas. The corner led AFK Petržalka's Guillermo Checa to fire away a dangerous shot which Zhu Xi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Galacticos! Zhu Xi had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Nikola Krstović's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Zhu Xi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikola Krstović went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kong Jing Kun in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Xie Yue Chao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adam Hrdina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Aimar in the 93rd minute of play. Adam Hrdina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilesindo Tarapiella went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AFK Petržalka fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Galacticos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
