The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tião Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Uba Uba made a huge save. Uba Uba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boiken Juniku, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norra Sandby FF's attentive Martin Abelsson managed to snatch the ball when Gilvan Luz made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. A collision led to Norra Sandby FF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Manfred Vacker hit a great ball. Tião Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Uba Uba made a huge save. Hickey Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bakar Kaká in the 18th minute of play. Norra Sandby FF's Uba Uba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Norra Sandby FF from getting a goal against them. Tosun Manjani hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Prishtina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Wester came free, but Hickey Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uba Uba came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Prishtina FC's Gilvan Luz. But to his dismay, Gilvan Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the game, Esat Naum was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prishtina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norra Sandby FF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Prishtina FC's Esat Naum got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Hickey Dunne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfred Vacker in the 53rd minute. After 57 played minutes Norra Sandby FF got a freekick which was hit by Egil Eriksson. Hickey Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Wester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Donato Conrao notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Norra Sandby FF's Uba Uba. Uba Uba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evert Wester hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Norra Sandby FF's Uba Uba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ersan Genç in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, Prishtina FC's Hickey Dunne got control of the ball when Bakar Kaká tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute Esat Naum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uba Uba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Bakar Kaká ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hickey Dunne was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Prishtina FC made a substitution. Lilo Berberi replaced Esat Naum. After some careless play in the Prishtina FC defense, Bakar Kaká kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hickey Dunne. The Prishtina FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hickey Dunne should have stopped the shot.
