With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nazmija Stojković in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arneil Trossero saved I Rossoneri from getting behind. With his leg Zarando Calva managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when I Rossoneri's Adam Bergdal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arneil Trossero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Alley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Emiliano Sotil made a precise shot to the right of Arneil Trossero. I Rossoneri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Arneil Trossero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Alley went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Atlético de Caracas were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of I Rossoneri booed when Atlético de Caracas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piero Hincapié didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Atlético de Caracas's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Blixt came free, but Zarando Calva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. I Rossoneri's Arneil Trossero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Sotil in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Aires Laguno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arneil Trossero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 played minutes I Rossoneri got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Backlund. In the 77th minute, Tim Östlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. I Rossoneri's Arneil Trossero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aires Laguno in the 78th minute of play. Arneil Trossero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Zarando Calva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Blixt in the 82nd minute of the match. Arneil Trossero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Alley in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Rolando Alley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético de Caracas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 92nd match minute, Atlético de Caracas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Santarém to maneuver through the defense. Arneil Trossero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno Santarém went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. With a little luck, I Rossoneri's Arneil Trossero got control of the ball when Nuno Santarém tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Atlético de Caracas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than I Rossoneri throughout the match.
