In the 3rd minute Przemyslaw Dropinski suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Leeds's Ákos Fitos got a free kick in the 4th minute. With 8 minutes on the clock, Jakub Kempski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 7 minutes into the game, one of Szczakersi RACIBUR:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bertalan Galambos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tolek Trela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dobromir Pincoski during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, Dobromir Pincoski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Szczakersi RACIBUR getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Klement Marchewka hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Leeds defense, Norbert Jeziorkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gábor Véber. The Leeds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gábor Véber should have stopped the shot. Slawomir Rzegotka scored 2-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gábor Véber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Slawomir Rzegotka got free with Gábor Véber in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Leeds's Gábor Véber got control of the ball when Slawomir Rzegotka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gábor Véber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Jeziorkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dániel Dala to make the kick off. Bertalan Galamboss short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Tolek Trela to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Szilárd Győrfi during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norbert Kerekes charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Slawomir Rzegotka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gábor Véber having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Bertalan Galambos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tolek Trela, 2-2. 78 minutes into the match, Norbert Jeziorkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gábor Véber. Leeds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norbert Jeziorkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Leeds's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
