Gianluca Lapadulas short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Jimeno Nevada to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gianluca Lapadula in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Nevada saved Club Atlético Magallanes from getting behind. Jimeno Nevada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Mondrowski in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Salvadore in the 14th minute of play forced KS Bukowe's goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, KS Bukowe's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Sierocki came free, but Jerzy Dudek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stanislao Kuparinen during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stanislao Kuparinen kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Club Atlético Magallanes booed when KS Bukowe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislao Kuparinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. KS Bukowe's Jerzy Dudek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Sierocki in the 24th minute of play. Jerzy Dudek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Rami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Magallanes's zone, Marian Mondrowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimeno Nevada came out of the goal and Marian Mondrowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Jimeno Nevada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianluca Lapadula. After 42 played minutes KS Bukowe got a freekick which was hit by Michal Jarosiewicz. In the 43rd minute of the match Best Jesus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerzy Dudek skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gianluca Lapadula was the one to do the kick off. KS Bukowe's Tobiasz Moryl managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fermin Quin in the 59 minute of the game. Jimeno Nevada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Mondrowski's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. With an all-out effort, Club Atlético Magallanes's Jerzy Dudek threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manoel Barros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jerzy Dudek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavino Rami in the 63rd minute of the match. Gianluca Lapadula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerzy Dudek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Salvadore in the 72nd minute. In the 80th minute of the match KS Bukowe got a corner. Club Atlético Magallanes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stanislao Kuparinen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Michal Jarosiewicz advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute Marian Mondrowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Nevada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Magallanes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stanislao Kuparinen was slow to take the kick. During this time KS Bukowe's players had a chance to rest. KS Bukowe's Stanislao Kuparinen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jimeno Nevada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The KS Bukowe players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
