Diamonds FC's Baltazar Diniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Diamonds FC from getting a goal against them. Baltazar Diniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deimantas Satkus's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Ovidijus Merkelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esat Çeka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Deimantas Satkus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geležinis Vilkas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Baltazar Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deimantas Satkus in the 23rd minute. Baltazar Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deimantas Satkus in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deimantas Satkus in the 26th minute of play forced Diamonds FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Diamonds FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nildo Miranda hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Shah Tan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidijus Merkelis was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Diamonds FC's zone, Saulius Grapskis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Diniz came out of the goal and Saulius Grapskis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidijus Merkelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esat Çeka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Marquez made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Esat Çeka immediately put the ball in play. 42 minutes into the game, Geležinis Vilkas's Deimantas Satkus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltazar Diniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 45th minute Nildo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidijus Merkelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deimantas Satkus to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Deimantas Satkus during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Diamonds FC booed when Geležinis Vilkas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Kolodin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Sandaili in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Diamonds FC's goal looked a bit too open when Deimantas Satkus came free, but Baltazar Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Eitautas Ivoška managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geležinis Vilkas's supporters rose to their feet, but Eitautas Ivoška was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Deimantas Satkus might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baltazar Diniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deimantas Satkus ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute of the game Cristiano Marquez made a throw-in which Eustaquio Sandaili played forward. Eugênio Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Deimantas Satkus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Geležinis Vilkas's Deimantas Satkus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltazar Diniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Geležinis Vilkas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
