The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 16th minute Jan Sierocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Naelio made in the 20th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jan Sierocki. In the 34th minute, Bruno Capello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Trip fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, Los Trip was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janne Gibson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Sierocki in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Trip's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 played minutes Los Trip got a freekick which was hit by CJ Asensio. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Rami, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute, Bruno Capello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Los Trip made a substitution. Arsenio Perutxo replaced Cipriano Castro. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Rami in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Jimeno Nevada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Capello. 68 minutes into the game, Ruperto Salvadore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Magallanes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Trip the free kick. A collision led to Club Atlético Magallanes getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ruperto Salvadore hit a great ball. After 71 minutes Club Atlético Magallanes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was CJ Asensio who took care of the corner kick. After 74 played minutes Los Trip got a freekick which was hit by CJ Asensio. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Magallanes's Taci Argün got a free kick in the 80th minute. Los Trip made a substitution. Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca replaced Bruno Capello. José Augusto Peres took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jimeno Nevada. Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Magallanes's Ruperto Salvadore got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Agustín Rossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taci Argün's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavino Rami in the 90th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Rami came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada got control of the ball when Arsenio Perutxo tried to sneak it across the goal line. CJ Asensio hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match, Ruperto Salvadore sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Agustín Rossi showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The Los Trip supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Trip would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
