Vykans Vikingar were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Lunna IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdi Revis took the corner. 8 minutes into the match, Lunna IF's goalkeeper Vladimir Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Mutumba. Martin Mutumba struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Vladimir Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vykans Vikingar. If Martin Mutumba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vladimir Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Mutumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Martin Mutumba came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Vykans Vikingar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Mutumba couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Tobias Hysén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lunna IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Andreas Lindqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Hysén, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Tage Glanselius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27thth minute of the game Martin Mutumba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lunna IF's Vladimir Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Lindqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Hysén in the 29th minute of play. When Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lunna IF's goalie prevented a goal. When Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Andreas Lindqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Hysén, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Mutumba in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimir Pinheiro saved Lunna IF from getting behind. 42 minutes into the match, Lunna IF's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Revis came free, but Vladimir Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Figo during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Lunna IF got a freekick which was hit by Luís Figo. Martin Mutumba might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Mutumba ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Hysén to make the kick off. The Vykans Vikingar fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vladimir Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdi Revis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Leonardo Trancoso replaced Faas Wilkes. Andreas Lindqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Sobral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Abdi Revis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Mutumba in the 72nd minute of play. Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund was substituted for Martin Mutumba. In the 79th minute of the match Lunna IF got a corner. Vykans Vikingar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Figo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vladimir Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund. But to his dismay, Bengt-Arne Haglund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Vladimir Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 86th minute of play. Bengt-Arne Haglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Vladimir Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Lindqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Berg in the 90th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Lunna IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aprígio Torres to maneuver through the defense. Lunna IF's Vladimir Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 95th minute of play.
