The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Niklas Lundqvist took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johan Lööf. Johan Lööf dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marcos Basso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giacomo Casanova's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Slawomir Cisek struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Johan Lööf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Shadows. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niklas Lundqvist in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johan Lööf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17thth minute of the game Niklas Lundqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Boys's Johan Lööf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcos Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Tate in the 19th minute of play. Johan Lööf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Lundqvist in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes in the game, Henric Vallander dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The audience was convinced that Slawomir Cisek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johan Lööf was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 27th minute of the match The Shadows got a corner. La Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ni Zhen Ying ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Shadows's Bastian Von Axelson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Johan Lööf in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Jarl Bröms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johan Lööf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niklas Lundqvist's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Giacomo Casanova hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Johan Lööf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niklas Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Torbjörn Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giacomo Casanova made a kick off. The Shadows's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ni Zhen Ying in the 53rd minute. Niklas Lundqvist did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Johan Lööf 57 minutes into the match. Niklas Lundqvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Johan Lööf when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, La Boys's Bernt Hedling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Basso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Niklas Lundqvist put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Johan Lööf. Johan Lööf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Silva in the 86th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, The Shadows's David Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 89th minute, The Shadows's Herbert Holmgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johan Lööf. Johan Lööf yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. In the 97th minute Niklas Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Lööf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Shadows's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
