Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Emil Nordmark in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match, Mats Hermansson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Viktor Pettersson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Vykans Vikingar fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Vykans Vikingar's Abdi Revis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Skövde AIK's Viktor Pettersson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Skövde AIK from getting a goal against them. Viktor Pettersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 30th minute. Leonardo Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Viktor Pettersson made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Vykans Vikingar's Abdi Revis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Viktor Pettersson. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. Martin Mutumba scored 4-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viktor Pettersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Hílton Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kevin Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Skövde AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Keegan couldn't finish the play. Viktor Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Revis in the 44th minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Mats Hermansson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nils-Emil Nordmark was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Knut Rudberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcus Ekrot. The goal made the score 4-1. Skövde AIK's Viktor Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Hermansson in the 55th minute of play. In the 60th minute Abdi Revis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Pettersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdi Revis's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Skövde AIK's Viktor Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdi Revis in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Krister Uggstedt hit a great ball. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Börje Stål replaced Martin Mutumba. Skövde AIK made a substitution. Kurt Hamrin replaced Chen Ao Fan. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Krister Uggstedt got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Emil Nordmark to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Abdi Revis notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Skövde AIK's Viktor Pettersson. Viktor Pettersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute Abdi Revis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute Nils-Emil Nordmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams. But to his dismay, Jerry Williams quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. Vykans Vikingar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
