In the 2nd minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Iratxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If John Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Iratxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nono Rico, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Nestor Iratxo was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Leonardo Trancoso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonardo Trancoso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After having played for 20 minutes, Jan-Olof Dalgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puskas United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Olof Dalgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmie Stephansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Trancoso got free with Nestor Iratxo in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Trancosos short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Nestor Iratxo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmie Stephansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 32nd minute of the match, Martin Mutumba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nestor Iratxo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Puskas United's Nestor Iratxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nono Rico in the 34th minute of play. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Godholm in the 35th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nono Rico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute John Godholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Mutumba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Nestor Iratxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Ekrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Olof Dalgren's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Puskas United's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Trancoso came free, but Nestor Iratxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Iratxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Mutumba, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 71st minute Martin Mutumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Iratxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund was substituted for Martin Mutumba. Nestor Iratxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nono Rico in the 84th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Bengt-Arne Haglund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nestor Iratxo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Puskas United made a substitution. Froilan Theodore replaced Ferruccio Granati. Jimmie Stephansson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcus Ekrot firmly grabbed it by the left post. Marcus Ekrot had great luck who in the 96thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jimmie Stephansson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Vykans Vikingar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
