Lunna IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lidköping the free kick. Gottfrid Colin kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Bogren in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimir Pinheiro saved Lunna IF from getting behind. Stefan Bogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Pinheiro having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Stefan Bogren took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vladimir Pinheiro to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Lunna IF booed when Lidköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Larsfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristoffer Västerstrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Hysén in the 20th minute of play. Stefan Bogren did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Vladimir Pinheiro 23 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Stefan Bogren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vladimir Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Lunna IF defense, Stefan Bogren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vladimir Pinheiro. The Lunna IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimir Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dick Bergqvist couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Stig Söderquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tobias Hysén made a kick off. In the 51st minute Stefan Bogren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Lunna IF's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Bogren came free, but Vladimir Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Bogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimir Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Bogren in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Lidköping's Stefan Bogren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimir Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After a rather tough play, Lunna IF's Gottfrid Colin got a free kick in the 67th minute. Stefan Bogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lunna IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Bogren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lidköping fully deserved thier win.
