After a rather tough play, C.A.JORGOVAN's Gastón Hernández got a free kick in the 20th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Jose Chale notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of C.A.JORGOVAN's Eustacio Beliran. Eustacio Beliran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Isidoro Honesto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Václav Filipi. ATLETICO MENDOZA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Honesto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Václav Filipi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Lope in the 28th minute of the match. Eustacio Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Ruy in the 31st minute of the match. Eustacio Beliran came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by ATLETICO MENDOZA's Ivan Gentza. But to his dismay, Ivan Gentza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Václav Filipi came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.JORGOVAN's Miguel Lope. But to his dismay, Miguel Lope quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Václav Filipi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Honesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonzalo Hoya to make the kick off. If Mustafa Abdul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Hoya's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Václav Filipi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eustacio Beliran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Gentza went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the match, C.A.JORGOVAN's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Gentza came free, but Eustacio Beliran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Haimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.A.JORGOVAN's Gervasio Bermund was substituted for Gonzalo Hoya. ATLETICO MENDOZA made a substitution. Juanito Azulay replaced Baldomiro Enol. Eustacio Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Ruy in the 71st minute of play. In the 81st minute Per-Åke Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Václav Filipi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, ATLETICO MENDOZA's Justo Muno made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eustacio Beliran was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, Gervasio Bermund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Václav Filipi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gervasio Bermund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-5 in the 93 minute of play.
