Gigi Penaru went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to San Lorenzo's Severo Santos getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kara Melo in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Jan Wallman got a free kick in the 9th minute. Matias Carlomagno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 11th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Eduardo Soriano fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo's protests and gave Eduardo Soriano a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes, San Lorenzo's Ke Lin Mo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Lorenzo reached it. Kara Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San Lorenzo were furious when Martin Lleir was red carded, 94 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 95th minute, Martin Lleir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, San Lorenzo could leave the field as winners, despite Club Atlético Atlanta having more of the ball for most of the match.
