Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristian Urtzi ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Saverio Brion managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Nicolás DAndrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asiz Soon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Catranides in the 21st minute of play forced Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Eleuterio Chabier was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Atahan Balon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Los Muchachos del 86 getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Saverio Brion hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Los Muchachos del 86's Saverio Brion got a free kick in the 26th minute. Gaspar Chaime kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Gabi Golanski put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Atahan Balon. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Muchachos del 86's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eleuterio Chabier was slow to take the kick. During this time Defensores del Ángel Gris's players had a chance to rest. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Nicolás DAndrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asiz Soon in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafim Catranides to make the kick off. The supporters of Defensores del Ángel Gris booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Márcico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Nicolás DAndrea made a huge save. Los Muchachos del 86's Fabio Bencivenni was substituted for Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. In the 67th match minute, Defensores del Ángel Gris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Estebano to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes Defensores del Ángel Gris got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Catranides. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Muchachos del 86 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
