Prospero Perico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atahan Balon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Peruanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 32nd minute of the match. Eusebio Rios lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Lobos de Carelia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Atahan Balon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobos de Carelia. Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Soon in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Los Muchachos del 86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Peruanton to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prospero Perico was the one to do the kick off. Erubiel Txaran made in the 95th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Albino Peruanton however managed to control. Los Muchachos del 86 were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Lobos de Carelia to leave the ground with a draw.
