The audience was convinced that Miguel Lope's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Paulin was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 1-2 became the score in the 20th minute when Gonzalo Hoya elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Godfredo Gau recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eustacio Beliran. In the 27th minute Isidoro Honesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Beliran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Defensores de Lombroso booed when C.A.JORGOVAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Lope didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 77th minute of play forced C.A.JORGOVAN's goalkeeper Eustacio Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Paulin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Honesto in the 78th minute. Eustacio Beliran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
