Pangarés FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC STEAUA the free kick. A collision led to Pangarés FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Serginho Messias hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Enaut Ziguenza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Froilan Cresconio. Enaut Ziguenza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 19 minutes into the match, Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Froilan Cresconio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mugur Nisipeanu. The supporters of Pangarés FC booed when UFC STEAUA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Vulpăşin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A wasted opportunity for UFC STEAUA. 42 minutes into the match, Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Froilan Cresconio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Hodorog. UFC STEAUA's Mugur Nisipeanu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eulalio Tolino was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Pangarés FC's Guto Machado got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Mugur Nisipeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Froilan Cresconio having to make a save. In the 54th minute Mugur Nisipeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Cresconio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When UFC STEAUA's Mugur Nisipeanu in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pangarés FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugur Nisipeanu in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Froilan Cresconio saved Pangarés FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Albert Hodorog managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC STEAUA's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Hodorog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Froilan Cresconio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franciszek Pilarczyk during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Franciszek Pilarczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Mugur Nisipeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Mugur Nisipeanu got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper Costică Petran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alin Davidescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pangarés FC's zone, Mugur Nisipeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Cresconio came out of the goal and Mugur Nisipeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Pangarés FC booed when UFC STEAUA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kong Xiang Hao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Cresconio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugur Nisipeanu in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. UFC STEAUA fully deserved thier win.
