In the 8th minute Ernesto Minichiello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Cresconio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Cresconio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. XMAS's Ennio De Nardis got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. XMAS's Domenico Mantini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Froilan Cresconio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of XMAS booed when Pangarés FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froilan Cresconio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Minichiello's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute, Christian Zaccardi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Froilan Cresconio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Minichiello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Froilan Cresconio was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Ennio De Nardis charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ennio De Nardis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes XMAS got a freekick which was hit by Ennio De Nardis. 37 minutes into the game, Ulysses Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pangarés FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XMAS the free kick. The XMAS fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when XMAS's Ernesto Minichiello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 45 minutes, Ennio De Nardis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XMAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennio De Nardis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Minichiello made a kick off. Froilan Cresconio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Mantini in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pangarés FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Domenico Mantini was slow to take the kick. During this time XMAS's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on XMAS's corner Domenico Mantini fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Froilan Cresconio quite easily take care of the ball. Ernesto Minichiello did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Froilan Cresconio 58 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Domenico Mantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. XMAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Domenico Mantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Froilan Cresconio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pangarés FC's Froilan Cresconio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Mantini in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of XMAS booed when Pangarés FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Minichiello might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Froilan Cresconio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pangarés FC's Froilan Cresconio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Minichiello in the 72nd minute of play. Froilan Cresconio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domenico Mantini in the 74th minute. Ernesto Minichiello had several of the Pangarés FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Froilan Cresconio as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio De Nardis in the 85th minute of play forced Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Froilan Cresconio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Eulalio Tolino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. XMAS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
