With his leg Sonny Bergdal managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when El Bobo y El Bocho's Marcelo Celino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oldham Athletic's Sonny Bergdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Oldham Athletic from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Oldham Athletic getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Henrik Söderberg hit a great ball. Sonny Bergdal made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Damian Dantel sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Fernendo came free, but Sonny Bergdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sonny Bergdal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damian Dantel went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to El Bobo y El Bocho getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Felipe Fernendo hit a great ball. Agne Stor kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Felipe Fernendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Bobo y El Bocho's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Fernendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sonny Bergdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guido Vimaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Bollström, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Oldham Athletic were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after El Bobo y El Bocho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jan Gulliksson took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Oscar Bäcklin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ingvar Bollström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Guido Vimaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingvar Bollström made a kick off. El Bobo y El Bocho's Guido Vimaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Bollström in the 57th minute of play. Felipe Fernendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Bergdal having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Oldham Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Bollström to maneuver through the defense. Guido Vimaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Rydberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Bollström in the 68th minute of play forced El Bobo y El Bocho's goalkeeper Guido Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Erik Fransson in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guido Vimaro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, El Bobo y El Bocho's Guido Vimaro got control of the ball when Oscar Bäcklin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oldham Athletic were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
