Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) FC Jones's Kullervo Laulaja started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iivari Kapanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5thth minute of the game Claudinho Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Jones's Iivari Kapanen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Squadra Demarchi's zone, Juha-Pekka Nurminen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Saldanha came out of the goal and Juha-Pekka Nurminen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Kullervo Laulaja sped through Squadra Demarchi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. 11 minutes into the game, Claudinho Pinho lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Iivari Kapanen. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kullervo Laulaja in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Kullervo Laulaja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oscar Saldanha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinho Pinho in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iivari Kapanen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ville Kaukomaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. A throw-in in the 29th minute of the game was made by Veeti Hietalahti with Jyrki Lundell as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Claudinho Pinho took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iivari Kapanen. Iivari Kapanen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Iivari Kapanen came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Squadra Demarchi's Aírton Montenegro. But to his dismay, Aírton Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Nilson Corrêa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Pinho was the one to do the kick off. Claudinho Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 57 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Loyola. Iivari Kapanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aírton Montenegro during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th minute, Juha-Pekka Nurminen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Jones fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 81st match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Claudinho Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Queirós to maneuver through the defense. FC Jones were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Squadra Demarchi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kullervo Laulaja took the corner. FC Jones's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
