The corner ended in Zhao Yao Ying almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A&K SPARTA BRADFORD's Daniel Borczak did a great save. Daniel Borczak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhao Yao Ying's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After 15 minutes, Hieronim Gniewek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A&K SPARTA BRADFORD and the Oldham Athletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oldham Athletic made a substitution. Cristian-Federico Dolić replaced Sune Axelsson. A collision led to A&K SPARTA BRADFORD getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. In the 34thth minute of the game 邱剑海 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oldham Athletic's Guo Han Di was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oldham Athletic's Guo Han Di played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 吕峰钢 in the 38th minute of play. Guo Han Di made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 邱剑海 in the 41st minute of play. 邱剑海 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A&K SPARTA BRADFORD's Daniel Borczak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save A&K SPARTA BRADFORD from getting a goal against them. Oldham Athletic were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after A&K SPARTA BRADFORD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gösta Brolin took the corner. Oldham Athletic's Gösta Brolin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniel Borczak in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 邱剑海 to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Yao Ying in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Borczak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gösta Brolin was slow to take the kick. During this time Oldham Athletic's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Gösta Brolin managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Yao Ying in the 71st managed to get into a good position. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A&K SPARTA BRADFORD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
