A collision led to Sαηgrε Azuɭ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Osvaldo Alfonso hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sαηgrε Azuɭ's zone, Hastomo Fitriansyah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernhardt Reshauge came out of the goal and Hastomo Fitriansyah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Ljusberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Sαηgrε Azuɭ's Conrado Rodriguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boris Kerth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Conrado Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Boris Kerth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Rodriguez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boris Kerth having to make a save. Gösta Blomqvist made in the 65th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Artemio Nesto.
