Alberto Andreola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. But to his dismay, Zhao Yao Ying quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Valdieri's Alberto Andreola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Hodei in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Edoardo Rinaldi made a precise shot to the right of Guo Han Di. Oldham Athletic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 16th minute, Zhao Yao Ying made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Andreola. Valdieri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 19th minute, Cristian-Federico Dolić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Andreola was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Zhao Yao Ying took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Andreola. Alberto Andreola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 37th minute Anxo Cecilia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Andreola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Eraldo Ippoliti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Cristian-Federico Dolić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oldham Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Alberto Andreola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Yao Ying in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Hodei came free, but Alberto Andreola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhao Yao Ying made a kick off. Alberto Andreola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian-Federico Dolić in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Cristian-Federico Dolić dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alberto Andreola, 1-8. Alberto Andreola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Hodei, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Oldham Athletic's Cristian-Federico Dolić ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Andreola. Alberto Andreola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9. Alberto Andreola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zhao Yao Ying in the 61st minute. Alberto Andreola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian-Federico Dolić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zhao Yao Ying succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-10 in the 66th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Zhao Yao Ying kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alberto Andreola. That made the score 1-11 in the 71 minute of play. Oldham Athletic were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
