But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephane Pfiffer couldn't finish the play. After 7 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Frederik Stecher. In the 8th minute I Putu í Lon Jacobsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pekko Badla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alemannia Aachen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waud Soetemans was slow to take the kick. During this time Black Dragons's players had a chance to rest. 15 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Waud Soetemans came free, but Pekko Badla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Black Dragons's Stephane Pfiffer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pekko Badla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 21 minutes, Thomas Bressem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alemannia Aachen and the Black Dragons players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Alemannia Aachen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Bressem to maneuver through the defense. Peter Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson Strasser hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Alemannia Aachen's Pekko Badla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Gustafsson in the 27th minute of play. Hannes Dresdner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Stecher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montgomery Heidrich kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Pekko Badla was a little too slow when I Putu í Lon Jacobsen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. Hannes Dresdner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Lindenthal, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, I Putu í Lon Jacobsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederik Stecher in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hannes Dresdner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Dario Lindenthal came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Lindenthal couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Waud Soetemans came free, but Pekko Badla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Black Dragons booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montgomery Heidrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Black Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Stuber to maneuver through the defense. Hannes Dresdner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Stecher in the 72nd minute of play. Waud Soetemans scored 0-5 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pekko Badla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If I Putu í Lon Jacobsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Stephane Pfiffer came free, but Pekko Badla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Günter Gehling hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Alemannia Aachen defense, Waud Soetemans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pekko Badla. The Alemannia Aachen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pekko Badla should have stopped the shot. Hannes Dresdner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Klump, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Alemannia Aachen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Black Dragons were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
