The throw-in from Teodor Zărnescu in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Liviu Sfetcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The FC Dunarea Galati fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when FC Dunarea Galati's Manuel Muntian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Mihu in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Manuel Muntian notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Honduras booed when FC Dunarea Galati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Muntian didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Dunarea Galati's Liviu Sfetcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Levința in the 43rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Levința struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dunarea Galati. Liviu Sfetcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After some careless play in the FC Dunarea Galati defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Liviu Sfetcu. The FC Dunarea Galati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Liviu Sfetcu should have stopped the shot. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes, FC Dunarea Galati's Nicolae Hăvârneanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Dunarea Galati reached it. Manuel Muntian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. Liviu Sfetcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 73rd minute. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Mihu in the 76th minute of play. With his leg Liviu Sfetcu managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 85 minutes into the game, Nicolae Hăvârneanu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Luca Espinar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 87 played minutes FC Dunarea Galati got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Lițu. 87 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
