After 4 minutes, Roger Crossley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the T H F C and the Pindorama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute T H F C were awarded a corner. Dominik Plumber went to the cornerflag to take it. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Rowan Tyler put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Crossley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the game, Rowan Tyler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hortêncio Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st minute Roger Crossley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Crossley might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hortêncio Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Crossley ran back to his position shaking his head. The T H F C fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when T H F C's Rowan Tyler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pindorama's zone, Rowan Tyler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Duarte came out of the goal and Rowan Tyler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hortêncio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rowan Tyler in the 33rd minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, T H F C's Rowan Tyler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Duarte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 43rd minute Rowan Tyler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowan Tyler in the 47th minute of play. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Crossley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rowan Tyler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Roger Crossley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davi Botelho during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Crossley in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Pindorama booed when T H F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Plumber didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Pindorama:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of T H F C:s goal. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for T H F C. Dominik Plumber stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hortêncio Duarte. 0-6. T H F C's Ged Pope was substituted for Roger Crossley. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ged Pope in the 74th minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rowan Tyler got free with Hortêncio Duarte in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ged Pope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Hortêncio Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pindorama defense, Ged Pope kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. The Pindorama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Duarte should have stopped the shot. Hortêncio Duarte was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Rowan Tyler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rowan Tyler really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. In the 85th minute, Ged Pope fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lee Walton managed to get in a good position for a shot. T H F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Lee Walton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ged Pope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Cafu Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dale Kinsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafu Martins's late challenge caught a T H F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cafu Martins helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Pindorama got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Martins. Rowan Tylers short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Hortêncio Duarte to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 97 minutes, Rowan Tyler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. T H F C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rowan Tyler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
