After 2 played minutes Passa o Tanque MZ got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Breckenfeld. In the 3rd minute of the match André Luiz Pernambucano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Magalhães skillfully saved the ball. Passa o Tanque MZ's Bernd Goldsche got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernd Goldsche, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vasco Mineiro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roque Oliveiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Passa o Tanque MZ's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Passa o Tanque MZ's corner Roque Oliveiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Vidal quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Vasco Mineiro FC's Marcelo Vidal got control of the ball when Roque Oliveiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Passa o Tanque MZ booed when Vasco Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Vasco Mineiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Maia. In the 16thth minute of the game Bernd Goldsche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasco Mineiro FC's Marcelo Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roque Oliveiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelo Vidal could save by the left post. Vasco Mineiro FC's Marcelo Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernd Goldsche in the 19th minute of play. Vasco Mineiro FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Rafa Breckenfeld scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Vidal, making the score, 1-0. Bernd Goldsche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Bernd Goldsche took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Marcelo Vidal to make any attempt to save it. Marcelo Vidal stood somewhat misplaced when Bernd Goldsche came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. In the 42nd minute, Passa o Tanque MZ's Roque Oliveiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelo Vidal. Marcelo Vidal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vinícius Esteves was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Passa o Tanque MZ getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Valdo de Barros hit a great ball. Diamantino Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinícius Esteves's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Vasco Mineiro FC's Frederico Lago was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Diamantino Magalhães in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 54th minute of the match Vasco Mineiro FC got a corner. Passa o Tanque MZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. André Luiz Pernambucano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Davi Cerezo tried in the game's 55th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Diamantino Magalhães. An annoying self made goal, 5-1. In the 67thth minute of the game Bernd Goldsche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasco Mineiro FC's Marcelo Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Passa o Tanque MZ's Arí Pitta got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Arí Pitta fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Passa o Tanque MZ's protests and gave Arí Pitta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vasco Mineiro FC booed when Passa o Tanque MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinícius Esteves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Diamantino Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 71st minute, Roque Oliveiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Vidal was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Bernd Goldsche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Vidal having to interfere. A collision led to Vasco Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Flávio Sabóia hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasco Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Vidal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 83 played minutes Vasco Mineiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Maia. After recieving a nice pass, Passa o Tanque MZ's Roque Oliveiro tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinícius Esteves. Vasco Mineiro FC's Marcelo Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernd Goldsche in the 88th minute of play. Ronaldinho Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Vasco Mineiro FC's Diamantino Magalhães threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vinícius Esteves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bernd Goldsche struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Marcelo Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Passa o Tanque MZ. Passa o Tanque MZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
