After 8 minutes Pindorama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tim Ménet who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Thierry Platon got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 8 minutes into the match. Hortêncio Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodd Laing, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 minutes of play, Pindorama's Cafu Martins made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clem Fath was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cosa nostra Lyon's Clem Fath proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Cosa nostra Lyon from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Guilherme Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davy Patron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Pindorama booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hercule Frison didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Michel de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Pindorama defense, Tim Ménet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. The Pindorama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Duarte should have stopped the shot. After having played for 37 minutes, Davy Patron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosa nostra Lyon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davy Patron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hercule Frison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Davy Patron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Pindorama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hercule Frison in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Cosa nostra Lyon were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hercule Frison to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Pindorama defense, Bacary Kerneis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. The Pindorama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Duarte should have stopped the shot. Bacary Kerneis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Meira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clem Fath. Cosa nostra Lyon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelsinho Meira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Cosa nostra Lyon's Davy Patron got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Hercule Frison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio Duarte was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 65th minute of the match, Hercule Frison tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hortêncio Duarte saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Clem Fath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Martins in the 74th minute of the match. Pindorama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Pedro Salles in the 75th minute. The corner ended in Zé Pedro Salles almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cosa nostra Lyon's Clem Fath did a great save. After a rather tough play, Pindorama's Nelsinho Meira got a free kick in the 77th minute. Clem Fath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Qwinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosa nostra Lyon's Clem Fath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Meira in the 82nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodd Laing got free with Hortêncio Duarte in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 86 in the game by Rodd Laing from a close distance when the talented Hortêncio Duarte managed to make a qualified save. Pindorama's players were relieved. When Cosa nostra Lyon's Rodd Laing in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pindorama's goalie prevented a goal. Rodd Laing received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hortêncio Duarte came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodd Laing slotted it home off the left post making it 3-5 in the 90th minute. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Pindorama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Pindorama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cosa nostra Lyon's performance. The match ended with a win for Cosa nostra Lyon.
