Qiu Zheng Ning made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Феникс Санкт-Петербург getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tudor Sălcudeanu hit a great ball. Diamantino Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Sălcudeanu in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernd Goldsche in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qiu Zheng Ning saved Феникс Санкт-Петербург from getting behind. Passa o Tanque MZ's Bernd Goldsche managed to work through Феникс Санкт-Петербург's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bernd Goldsche dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 20th minute, Roque Oliveiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Passa o Tanque MZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Passa o Tanque MZ booed when Феникс Санкт-Петербург was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolf Rogov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute Bernd Goldsche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Zheng Ning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Passa o Tanque MZ's Diamantino Magalhães got control of the ball when Tudor Sălcudeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolf Rogov. Marat Bolshakov kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernd Goldsche in the 35th minute of play forced Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goalkeeper Qiu Zheng Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diamantino Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolf Rogov in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Adolf Rogov came free, but Diamantino Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolf Rogov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Liu Jie got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Marat Bolshakov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diamantino Magalhães. Passa o Tanque MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marat Bolshakov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

Roque Oliveiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Qiu Zheng Ning firmly grabbed it by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Tudor Sălcudeanu came free, but Diamantino Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56th play minutes Tudor Sălcudeanu shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Diamantino Magalhães and just under the crossbar into goal. Qiu Zheng Ning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Oliveiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Liu Jie notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Passa o Tanque MZ's Diamantino Magalhães. Diamantino Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Artur Kulakov got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Oliveiro in the 64th minute of play forced Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goalkeeper Qiu Zheng Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Roque Oliveiro put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Qiu Zheng Ning. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Teixeira in the 70th minute of play forced Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goalkeeper Qiu Zheng Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adolf Rogov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Teixeira in the 74th minute of play forced Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goalkeeper Qiu Zheng Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Teixeira came free, but Qiu Zheng Ning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Феникс Санкт-Петербург's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roque Oliveiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Passa o Tanque MZ's players had a chance to rest. Qiu Zheng Ning made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Roque Oliveiro sent off a good shot on target. Diamantino Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Rogov in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Passa o Tanque MZ's zone, Liu Jie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Magalhães came out of the goal and Liu Jie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diamantino Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liu Jie, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Феникс Санкт-Петербург's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eduard Krotenko in the 83rd minute. A very nice done corner allowed Afanasiy Mamichev to score against Diamantino Magalhães in Passa o Tanque MZ's goal. 4-3 after 84 minutes. Qiu Zheng Ning made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ronaldinho Teixeira sent off a good shot on target. Qiu Zheng Ning didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roque Oliveiro went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. Qiu Zheng Ning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Teixeira in the 95th minute of play. Passa o Tanque MZ were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
