The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when CENTAURO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Sasoin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iker Abalos made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Nelson Mendoza sent off a good shot on target. Nelson Mendozas short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Iker Abalos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 13th minute, Amado Sergi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Jayvier in the 23rd minute of play forced UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper João Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute of the match, Therkild Prendorf tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iker Abalos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 27 minutes, Gigel Seremet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC STEAUA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Seremet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Mendoza in the 33rd minute of play forced CENTAURO's goalkeeper Iker Abalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Seremet struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Iker Abalos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC STEAUA. 44 minutes into the game, Nelson Mendoza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iker Abalos. Nelson Mendoza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nelson Mendoza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Mendoza in the 52nd minute of play forced CENTAURO's goalkeeper Iker Abalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CENTAURO's Iker Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Mendoza in the 54th minute of play. Iker Abalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Mendoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes CENTAURO got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Abecia. After 61 played minutes CENTAURO got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Abecia. Evelio Sasoin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Massa having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Victorio Argoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Massa was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. With his leg João Massa managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when CENTAURO's Gualterio Jayvier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 71st match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervásio Vilhena to maneuver through the defense. CENTAURO made a substitution. Ceferino Frances replaced Ovidio Rivero. After 73 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Kong Xiang Hao. UFC STEAUA's João Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save UFC STEAUA from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute of the match UFC STEAUA got a corner. CENTAURO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gigel Seremet ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led UFC STEAUA's Gigel Seremet to fire away a dangerous shot which Iker Abalos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 78th match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervásio Vilhena to maneuver through the defense. If Therkild Prendorf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Nelson Mendoza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC STEAUA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Santos Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Isaac Guipuzkoa in the 92nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Iker Abalos's left hand side. Iker Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 93rd minute of the match.
