Nektarios Varveris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ákos Sándor during the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Irinel Tatomir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Calva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Lucrețiu Ghimiș got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucrețiu Ghimiș's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zarando Calva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Tom Wassenius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nektarios Varveris came out and tried to block the shot, but Tom Wassenius slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Irinel Tatomir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 29 minutes into the match, Atlético de Caracas's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Ghimiș came free, but Zarando Calva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zarando Calva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Ghimiș in the 29th minute of the match. Nektarios Varveris made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Rolando Alley sent off a good shot on target. Zarando Calva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Irinel Tatomir's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 43rd minute ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 were awarded a corner. Eugen Mihălțan went to the cornerflag to take it. 44 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Ghimiș notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Atlético de Caracas's Zarando Calva. Zarando Calva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Atlético de Caracas's Aires Laguno was substituted for Nazmija Stojković. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Alley was the one to do the kick off. Zarando Calva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Tatomir in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Rolando Alley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nektarios Varveris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético de Caracas's goalkeeper Zarando Calva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nektarios Varveris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tom Wassenius went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Tom Wassenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nektarios Varveris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucrețiu Ghimiș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zarando Calva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Irinel Tatomir went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Atlético de Caracas made a substitution. Nuno Santarém replaced Rolando Alley. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Ghimiș in the 89th minute of play forced Atlético de Caracas's goalkeeper Zarando Calva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zarando Calva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Ghimiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
