The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Team Pogba's goal looked a bit too open when Jonny Dexter came free, but Garry Warden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Gibbs charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Gibbs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Team Pogba booed when T H F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Gibbs didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Alejandro Garnacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jason Forrester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Team Pogba's supporters rose to their feet, but Jason Forrester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Radcliffe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Callum Webster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dan Radcliffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Lamb hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Callum Webster came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Team Pogba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Callum Webster couldn't finish the play. Chris Nightingale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Garry Warden made a huge save. Garry Warden was a little too slow when Jonny Dexter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-0. Garry Warden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Gibbs in the 44th minute of play. Callum Webster struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Dan Radcliffe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Pogba. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Garry Warden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonny Dexter, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Team Pogba's Garry Warden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Timiney in the 53rd minute of play. If Quentin Forrest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garry Warden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kris Renner went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the game, T H F C's Quentin Forrest nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garry Warden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 81st match minute, Team Pogba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bob Fitter to maneuver through the defense. T H F C's Roger Lamb got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Jonny Dexter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Warden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Team Pogba's zone, Ben Gibbs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garry Warden came out of the goal and Ben Gibbs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barrie Beavan hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes of play, T H F C's Jonny Dexter made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garry Warden was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that T H F C were the better team. T H F C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
