Pindorama's attentive Genílson Marques managed to snatch the ball when Maximo Aimar made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. 24 minutes into the game, Guilherme Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pindorama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Bobo y El Bocho the free kick. Guilherme Duarte hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The referee gave Conrado Qwinton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Nelsinho Meira took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandu Magherescu. Sandu Magherescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in El Bobo y El Bocho's zone, Nelsinho Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandu Magherescu came out of the goal and Nelsinho Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the game, Nelsinho Meira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sandu Magherescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nelsinho Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Purushothaman Op De Beeck in the 44th minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pindorama fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Pindorama:s Hortêncio Duarte showed great skill when he stopped Humberto Martxel:s penalty.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raúl Vieira was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the El Bobo y El Bocho defense, Nelsinho Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandu Magherescu. The El Bobo y El Bocho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandu Magherescu should have stopped the shot. In the 60th match minute, El Bobo y El Bocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Eate to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Ireno in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Duarte saved Pindorama from getting behind. Sandu Magherescu made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Raúl Vieira sent off a good shot on target. Nelsinho Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raúl Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Ireno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hortêncio Duarte having to make a save. In the 77th minute, Maximo Aimar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The El Bobo y El Bocho fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when El Bobo y El Bocho's Elias Ireno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pindorama players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
