When Nelsinho Meira came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Pindorama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Meira couldn't finish the play. Nelsinho Meira struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Emil Waselewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pindorama. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristoffer Nimtofte in the 36th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Conrado Qwinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd match minute, Pindorama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Massa to maneuver through the defense. Lars Fischer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristoffer Nimtofte.
