Camilo Hinguanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pino Van Mechelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Kuskatan C.F.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alan Wirinckx was slow to take the kick. During this time YR Mechelen's players had a chance to rest. 10 minutes into the game, YR Mechelen's Pino Van Mechelen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Hinguanzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ignace Maerschalcx during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 minutes of play, Real Kuskatan C.F.'s David Cruz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanny Van Wontergem was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Cesar Mejia came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Real Kuskatan C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Mejia couldn't finish the play. Stanny Van Wontergem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Díaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanny Van Wontergem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Mejia in the 26th minute of play. If Tibo Van den Bergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Díaz in the 34th minute of play. After 35 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Ignace Maerschalcx. Raúl Díaz missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 37 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Stanny Van Wontergem right hand side. Stanny Van Wontergem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Díaz in the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Real Kuskatan C.F.'s David Cruz got a free kick in the 46th minute. Tibo Van den Bergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Hinguanzo having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tibo Van den Bergen made a kick off. Cesar Mejia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanny Van Wontergem having to interfere. Wilmer Corpeño hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Alan Wirinckx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Hinguanzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pino Van Mechelen to maneuver through the defense. Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Raúl Díaz got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raúl Díaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Pino Van Mechelen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Hinguanzo. Real Kuskatan C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pino Van Mechelen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Stanny Van Wontergem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Mejia, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Viktor Bruyneel got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 82 minutes, Jan-Pieter Elsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Real Kuskatan C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jan-Pieter Elsen hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Raúl Díaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Tibo Van den Bergen notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Camilo Hinguanzo. Camilo Hinguanzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Waldir Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Kuskatan C.F.'s protests and gave Waldir Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. Waldir Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Pino Van Mechelen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YR Mechelen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pino Van Mechelen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Camilo Hinguanzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibo Van den Bergen in the 96th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. YR Mechelen were victorious despite being under pressure from Real Kuskatan C.F. for much of the match.
