In the 7th minute Afonso França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Tuncel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute of the match Clube Atlético Palhocense got a corner. CaPLooNBa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Doriva Proença ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 9th minute Cipriano Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Tuncel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Çağatay Saatçioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bahadır Tuncel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vânderson Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bahadır Tuncel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 26th play minutes Vânderson Guimarães shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Bahadır Tuncel and just under the crossbar into goal. CaPLooNBa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orkun Yönet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Clube Atlético Palhocense's Zé Paulo de Godoi got control of the ball when Çağatay Saatçioğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cipriano Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bahadır Tuncel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso França was the one to do the kick off. Bahadır Tuncel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Clube Atlético Palhocense's Arthur Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute Afonso França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Tuncel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, CaPLooNBa's Çağatay Saatçioğlu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Paulo de Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bahadır Tuncel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso França in the 66th minute of the match. Clube Atlético Palhocense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Doriva Proença in the 67th minute. Vânderson Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Bahadır Tuncel made a huge save. CaPLooNBa's Bahadır Tuncel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save CaPLooNBa from getting a goal against them. Latif Taşer might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo de Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Latif Taşer ran back to his position shaking his head. When Doriva Proença fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atlético Palhocense's protests and gave Doriva Proença a yellow card for diving instead. Doriva Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Vânderson Guimarães received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bahadır Tuncel came out and tried to block the shot, but Vânderson Guimarães slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute Afonso França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Tuncel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube Atlético Palhocense's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
