Falckner FC's Loco De la Maza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Falckner FC from getting a goal against them. Blas Edorta hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Gianluca Vialli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falckner FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gianluca Vialli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lauro Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loco De la Maza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Falckner FC's Loco De la Maza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Moreira in the 34th minute of play. Loco De la Maza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julien Steuble kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Lauro Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
