After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Dakota Gaffigan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Dakota Gaffigan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Torrens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Torrens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olliver Todman in the 36th minute. Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charro Pereceira in the 41st minute of play. Ollie Flesfadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lalo Buenaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Gilen Tejada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Teofilo Pardelas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd match minute, Australian Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dakota Gaffigan to maneuver through the defense. Hector-Luis Conllas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ollie Flesfadar made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olliver Todman in the 71st minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Pedro Torrens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Australian Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Lalo Buenaga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ollie Flesfadar made a huge save. 92 minutes into the match, Berkeley Glover had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Torrens. AFC United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berkeley Glover was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Australian Youth Academy's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
