A. Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Cordeiro came free, but Javier Steven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Diogo Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Steven was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. When Santiago Argenis came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the C. A. Potrero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Argenis couldn't finish the play. If Alejo Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Omar Fagondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Gorri kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Floresta Club U18's Diogo Cordeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Santiago Argenis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adan Hustaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson de Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Floresta Club U18 getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jardel da Silveira hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see C. A. Potrero's Serafino Geofredo in action when he in the 43rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Geovânio Albuquerque took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Javier Steven to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diogo Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Diogo Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Javier Steven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Steven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejo Nerio charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejo Nerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alejo Nerio hit a great ball. C. A. Potrero's Javier Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Cordeiro in the 61st minute of play. Javier Steven didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeca Souto went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 64 minutes, Wilson Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Floresta Club U18 and the C. A. Potrero players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Floresta Club U18's Wilson Lopes got a free kick in the 64th minute. Geovânio Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Javier Steven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. A. Potrero's Desiderio Heriberto was substituted for Santiago Argenis. Niceto Lehior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hudson de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Cafu Tinoco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floresta Club U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Cordeiro in the 80th minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Javier Steven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Nerio in the 82nd minute of the match. Hudson de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Lehior in the 89th minute. Alejo Nerio struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Hudson de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Potrero. C. A. Potrero made a substitution. Benedicto Noe replaced Omar Fagondo. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Hudson de Souza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Floresta Club U18 fans cheered their team off the field, for while C. A. Potrero had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
